Can I hotlink it by URL like placehold-style services?

No. Those services render images on a server per request; this site is purely client-side with no server. You download the file and use it in your project — which also means no dependency on a third-party service staying up.

Can the text show something other than the size?

Yes — type anything into "Custom text" to replace the size label; leave it empty to restore the dimensions.

Which format should I pick?

PNG for general use (lossless, crisp); WebP for the smallest files; JPG for legacy compatibility.

Is anything uploaded?

No — the image is drawn locally with the browser Canvas and never touches a server.
